I'll dominate 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters met personally to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's greatest financial successes, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual confrontation, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
